Hello all, it's the month of May, and what does May remind us of? Mangoes! Isn't it? Mango is my favorite fruit and is more likely the same with most of you. But this time, why aren't mangoes giving us the same joy as they used to? Because our thoughts, messages and conversations mainly circulate about the Pandemic, right? Since the last one year, we have all come across both authentic and false facts about the Pandemic. In this blog, I intend to express the truth that many of us shrug off from discussing. I request you to please read through this till the very end with a light heart. To begin with, I would like to narrate a short story – 'The Natural Order', picked from one of Paulo Coelho's blogs; A rich man once asked a zen master for a text that will always remind him how happy he was with his family. To which the zen master wrote on a piece of paper, "The father dies. The son dies. The grandson dies." The rich man got furious reading these gloomy

Hello all, it’s the month of April 2021. With COVID cases rising sharply across the country, the threat of another lockdown and confining ourselves to our homes is a possibility we need to accept. Exactly a year ago, during the first lockdown, my inner voice, which wanted to write blogs and influence people, grew louder, and here I am on my 10 th blog. It has been a fantastic experience to blog every month with topics that have significantly impacted who I am today. In August last year, when I wrote my first blog, I told myself I would find an inspiring topic for my readers every month. Well, did I have a clue about the subjects for my upcoming blogs? The answer is NO. But I was optimistic and curious to explore, which helped me with intriguing topics to blog month after month. I knew I would be bestowed with the right topic at the right time. Every topic I opted for was a result of a coincidence in my life. So in this blog, I will talk about "How the universe answers our que

Hello Everyone!! Every month reminds us of something special, and for me, the month of March is about the onset of summer and the end of the academic year. It reminds me of preparing, planning, and revising our subjects during school days for our Annual examination. Though it's been more than 15 years since I have left school, the experience of repeating the same exercise for 12 long years is so deeply imbibed in me that I still have feelings of nostalgia about the month of March!                   Do you feel the same way as I do? I remember discussing with friends how to complete revision quickly and how best to prepare for the final exams. However, all of us adopt our own ways, depending on our favourite subjects and also on our strengths and weaknesses. For me, Mathematics and Science were always intriguing, but language subjects were challenging. I always picked Maths and Science to study first and kept languages for later. For my sister, it was the opposite.

Tough times never last, BUT tough people do……

Hey all, I am back with another favourite topic of mine – ‘ Tough times never last, BUT tough people do ’. Can you believe that we are in the second month of the year already? How time flies! I personally love February. It is, after all, the month of love. In Bengaluru, the weather during this month is perfect as it is neither winter nor summer. And I really hope this blog will help you fall in love with your life again, no matter the phase you are going through in your life. I would like to start by narrating a chapter of my life to showcase how adversity shaped me to face challenges and appreciate those difficult circumstances. In 2006, I moved to Bengaluru for my Engineering course. I was very excited since it is one of my favourite cities. I recall spending many summers with cousins when we visited from my hometown of Bellari. Bengaluru’s cool climate was like paradise for me, considering Bellari is famous for its scorching weather. Our Holidays were simply glorious. Long walks

In my last blog – ( https://shobitaraghu.blogspot.com/2020/12/are-you-prisoner-of-your-own-beliefs.html ), I talked about New Year resolutions and the number 1 reason our resolutions fail most of the time. In this blog, let us talk about 1 crucial aspect that increases the probability of achieving your goals by 50%. Mike Murdock says, “I can’t change your life till I can get to change your daily routine”. This means if you desire to see a change in your life, you have

Are you a prisoner of your own beliefs?

Hi all, we are fast approaching the end of another year. And boy! What a year we've had? Isn't it? Do you recall the number one resolution you made at the start of the year? Did you fulfil it ? If you did, a hearty congratulations. If you didn't? No worries. This blog will help you revisit and analyze your number one reason for not making it. It is a well-known fact that most New Year resolutions fail. Now I ask you, what was that underlying belief or thought about you when you failed at your attempts? In this blog, I want to talk about our beliefs and their massive impact on our lives. Beliefs that determine our successes and failures.   Let's start by asking, what is a belief? The Oxford dictionary says belief is 'an acceptance that something exists or is true, especially one without proof'. The last part of the definition 'Especially one without proof' is an eye-opener. If we all understand this and change our perspective about beliefs, life will
